Life is better even when we have it a bit bitter. You will know what I mean once you have roti or rice with this sure shot success curry. I got this recipe from a dear friend of mine from the land where Kerala meets Karnataka.
For a beginning finely cut two bitter gourd, finely chop two onions, to it add two finely chopped tomatoes. Dump them in a pressure cooker with water, tangy tamarind, spicy chilly powder and a good spoonful of turmeric powder. To add a zing importantly add some jaggery. Close the lid of the pressure cooker and let it gain its youth to blow two whistles at you. Feel admired and open it to mix well. Cook till the curry gets thicker. Now for the Tadka… fry red chillies, few curry leaves and mustard in oil till the moment is spluttering with sounds of joy.
So Betty bought some bitter gourd to make her meal better….
