Paneer Butter Masala is a favorite among vegetarians and kids go crazy over it. Lets have how Paneer Butter Masala can be made at home
Ingredients
Butter – 100 Grams
Paneer – 250 Grams
Onion – 3 Large
Tomato – 2 Medium
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Tsp
Cashews – 50 Grams
Kashmiri Chilli Powder – 2 Tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 Tsp
Sugar – 1 Tsp
Fresh Cream – 2 Tbsp
Kasuri Methi – 1 Tsp
Coriander Leaves – 1 Sprig
Dry Masalas
Bay Leaf – 1
Cardamon – 3 pods
Cloves – 5-6 Nos
Cinammon – 1 inch
Black Cardamon – 1
Mace – 1/2 Tsp
Kus Kus – 1 Tsp
Preparation
- Soak the cashews in warm water for half an hour and the grind to a fine paste
- Dry roast all the dry masalas till a good aroma comes
- Let it cool and the grind in a pestle and mortar to a fine powder
- Grill the paneer in a pan till golden brown
- Put the butter in a pan and saute the Onions and add ginger garlic paste
- Add the chopped tomatoes and saute till well done
- Switch off the gas and let the mixture cool
- Once cool, add little water and grind to a fine paste
- Saute the Onion – Tomato paste in a pan
- Add the ground dry masala, chili powder, coriander powder and cook through
- Add the cashew paste and cook for two minutes
- Cut the grilled paneer into small pieces and add to the gravy
- Season with salt
- Add 1 Tsp of Sugar
- Add the kasuri methi
- Stir in the fresh cream and switch of the gas
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and fresh crumbled Paneer Butter Masala is ready.
Good to have it with Hot Parathas/ Rotis or Naans or even Fired Rice
